Cross Country

Not long now until the cross country on Friday.  It would be great to see lots of your parents and supporters there to cheer you all on.

The plan for the afternoon is - 

Year 7 girls 1.20pm
Year 7 boys 1.40pm
Year 8 girls 2.00pm
Year 8 boys 2.20pm

We will run pretty much to schedule, so if you have people coming to watch, then they are better to be there early rather than late.

I am super excited to see your times especially knowing how hard you all have been training!

Great soccer skills

Yesterday (Wednesday the 25th of July) a  food scientist Rena Reeves came to our school. She worked for AZCO in Green Island, and made patties and meatballs for restraunts and other major companies.She created new patties in a trial kitchen off her office. She makes trial patties in small amounts, and if they turn out well the are made in the factory. Making the patties is a very hard thing to do, because temperature, machinery, quantity and shape can all affect the patties quite dramatically.


Rena made me think about food alot more and more about nutrition.

Welcome back everyone, it was so great to see you all today and I really enjoyed hearing all about your holidays.

A reminder about your homework that is due on Friday; you have some mult/div revision to complete and you have to find out an AMAZING body fact (well three actually!)

These should be published on paper and ready to go on our display wall.

You should also have a novel started by now, please post a comment and let me know what book you are reading - I'd love to know! 

Not long now until the cross country - get out there and have a go!

Flying home

Hi Room 7, Thomas & I are at Tauranga airport ready to fly home. Would you believe we fly up to Auckland then down to Dunedin! Wow!
